Halloween
...one of my favorite childhood memories. I live in the south so I remember we always get our first 'real' cold front around Halloween. It's always been that way. I know this because when I was a child, I would dress in one of those paper thin, mass produced costumes and then go trick or treating throughout the neighborhood. The cold would pass right through the flimsy material. Although the cold has only a little to do with getting sick, it does make you more vulnerable because your resistance to viruses is down from shivering. I remember as a child getting sick right after Halloween. Of course, we always blamed it on over-consumption of candy!
