Inspiration from Dreams

I love using the images I see in my dreams for art. Somehow, they are never as fantastic as the images I see in my dreams but I try to capture the magic inside the visions as best as I can. I intended this character to be an angel in a distant land so the original drawing was with a halo.
I didn't like the halo so I turned it into a hat which made more of a science fiction character. That change was okay with me because I want my images to appeal to all individuals no matter what they believe.
The best way to "capture," or even remember your dreams, is to wake up slowly. I meditate every morning by setting the alarm clock an hour earlier than I need to wake. I then review any emotions, songs or visions that are running through my head.
It's best to get used to waking at the same time every day so the alarm clock won't be so intrusive. When I don't get enough sleep, the alarm clock can be my rudest enemy.
